Daniel Silver, LAc
I am licensed by the Oregon Medical Board and a Diplomate accredited in Acupuncture, Herbology, and Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission (NCCAOM). I graduated from Five Branches Institute with an MA in Oriental Medicine, and prior to this, a BA in Asian Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
I continue to deepen my understanding of acupuncture, moxibustion, and herbal medicine with study in Japan and China. I grew up macrobiotic, and still resonate with traditional East Asian principles of health through diet, lifestyle choice, and simplicity.
In addition to private practice, I teach at the National University of Natural Medicine with a focus on clinical applications of abdominal diagnosis, direct moxibustion, and the traditional non-insertive and gentle techniques of Japanese acupuncture. I am interested in paths of wellness within larger arcs of seasons and life, and treat conditions of fatigue, chronic illness, pain, digestion, children's and women's health.
